From the first weeks to the last, your body and care grows and shifts. That’s why prenatal Dubai care is not the same in every trimester. Each stage brings something new, and your doctor or midwife will focus on different things as your baby develops.
Looking into how prenatal care changes across the three trimesters can help you feel more prepared and calm during each part of your pregnancy.
First Trimester: The Starting Point:
The first trimester covers weeks 1 through 12. During this time, the baby starts forming all its basic parts. Most people have their first prenatal visit during this stage. Your care provider will check your overall health, take a blood test, and ask about your medical history.
You may also have your first ultrasound to check the baby’s size and heartbeat. You’ll be asked about how you’re feeling and if you’re having symptoms like nausea or fatigue. Many people start taking prenatal vitamins during this time to support early growth.
Second Trimester: Feeling Better and Growing Stronger:
The second trimester is from weeks 13 to 26. Many people feel more energy during this stage. Your belly starts to grow, and you may begin to feel the baby move.
Prenatal care visits during this time often include checking your baby’s heartbeat, measuring your belly, and watching your blood pressure. Around 20 weeks, you’ll likely have a detailed ultrasound to see how the baby is growing and to check the baby’s organs.
Your doctor may also check for signs of diabetes and discuss how to stay active and eat well as the baby grows bigger. You might start talking about birth plans during this time too.
Third Trimester: Getting Ready for Birth:
The third trimester starts at week 27 and goes until birth. Prenatal care visits happen more often now, sometimes every two weeks or even weekly near the end.
Your care provider will check the baby’s position, your weight, and how you’re feeling. They’ll talk to you about labor signs and what to expect during delivery. Tests like Group B strep screening may also be done during this stage.
This is also a good time to ask more questions, take a childbirth class, and get your home ready for the baby’s arrival.
Each trimester brings new steps in care, but all are focused on keeping both you and your baby safe, healthy, and well-supported throughout your pregnancy.
